“I learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.”
— Henry David Thoreau, Walden: Or, Life in the Woods

the farm

Our farm serves local Chefs, our community through a CSA, and a self serve farm gate.

2022

Last year we moved to 100% no-till farming. To promote healthy humans, we grow healthy vegetables by building healthy soil. In one growing season we saw a measurable difference in our produce and in the vitality of the farm. As we move into another year, we are excited to see the literal fruits of our labour magnify.

 this place is magic….

In 2017, I moved back home to the Okanagan to carry out the dream of farming. Not having ANY idea what I was doing, I knew it had to be done to fill a greater purpose and passion. Every year I learn from previous mistakes and the farm grows leaps and bounds. Farming brings me endless joy, especially when I get to connect with my customers that enjoy all the farm fresh produce.

On the farm I use Biodynamics which influence when I plant and harvest, which increases yields, makes plants stronger and more nutritious, and increases storage time, hardiness and disease resistance. Although not certified organic, all soil amendments are chemical free. No pesticides, insecticides or harmful practices are utilized. I aim to create a balance with nature to allow the ecosystem to thrive by making small adjustments and encouraging a multitude of species to coexist, recognizing that biodiversity creates resilience.
